The BG Electrical Nexus Metal NBS81 is a brushed stainless-steel single two-way dimmer light switch, rated at 200W and manufactured by British General Electrical.

The NBS81 is a trailing edge dimmer switch suitable for anywhere in domestic or commercial settings that requires a variable light level for LED, halogen, CFL or incandescent lamps. At only 44mm deep it has a slim modern profile, and with softly rounded corners and a versatile brushed stainless-steel finish will complement a huge range of interior decor. With a lightly lacquered surface to reduce the impression of fingerprints, it will continue to look clean and tidy even with repeated usage.

The NBS81 has a smooth control with no noise while dimming, and accounts for lower-wattage lamps in order to eliminate flickering. These dimmer switches come with BG’s soft start technology, bringing lamps to a set level of light in the space of a second and so prolonging their lifespan. They also protect against overloading by automatically lowering the power sent to lights or transformers if too many are connected, keeping the consumer safe.

These light switches will readily fit into existing mounting boxes (25mm minimum box depth required) and are fitted with an integrated moisture-controlling gasket which allows it to be installed into recently plastered walls, ensuring that the finish isn’t tarnished.

As standard on all BG sockets and switches, the NBS81 comes with a 25-year guarantee.
